Hi Guys,

First of all, please pardon my gramatical errors since English is not my native language.

I was wondering if it is possible to generate AdWords Ad Groups, basically I want to optimize the way I am generating new Ad groups right now.
Simply spoken: I have a client which offers a large variety of movie streams, since the keyword combination is mostly the same for every movie (Title + stream) I thought it would
be way easier if we automate the whole procedure.

I am looking for a possibility which allows me to:
Generate ad groups automatically
Fill those ad groups with the same Ads (Ad automization will be done via Feed)
Fill those ad groups with prearanged combination keywords such as stream, streaming and so on
Pause the ad group as soon as the movie is not active anymore

I am really grateful for every input in this manner.

Thanks,
Michael

Hi Michael,

Your question covers a lot of different topics, but the AdWords API does sound like a good fit. The Basic Operations samples show how to create and update campaigns, ad groups, ads, and keywords, so that might be a good place for you to start. I'd also recommend our Getting Started guide if you haven't read through that already.

Another option is to use AdWords Scripts, which also supports pausing ad groups, creating ads, adding keywords, etc.

Thanks,
Josh, AdWords API Team
