Campaign, Adgroup and ADs Relation

Hello,

I am using the google APIs and had a question about the relationships between Campaigns, AdGroups and Ads.

Reference (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v3/AdGroup)

When I make sample calls and reference the documentation for example, I do not see a direct campaign ID in the AdGroup object. I do see a campaign field and when I view the data, it is the resource name (abc/123/xyz/456). I suppose I can parse out the IDs that way but is there a better way to map these and link them together with direct ID fields?

Hi Isaac,

Thank you for reaching out to us. I see that you want to connect the Campaign ID to the Ad Group when you call it in a request or reporting query. You are able to do this by querying campaign ID while querying AdGroup metrics and fields, as AdGroup supports Campaign fields (as shown in the attributed resources section of the AdGroup Reporting documentation).
