AdGroup Negative Placements Performance Report??

Hi there,

I wonder if this report is available. I am looking to pull a report that would contain the information of Negative Placement of an AdGroup, and would have all of the information of the Exclusion items such as for YouTubeChannel (channelId) or MobileApplication (appId), and domain name

I meant the regular placement reports. I would like to see what channel, mobile app my ads were showed on.

Hi Han,

You may use the Automatic Placements Performance Report  which includes all statistics aggregated at the placement level. This type of report is the equivalent of WHERE ADS SHOWED report in Google Ads UI (see this guide for mapping of reports to Google Ads UI). Then, you may use the Domain field attribute to determine which placement (URL/mobile app ID) where the impression was shown.

Doesn't look like this report would include the Youtube channel placement for Display Campaign. Can you please confirm this?

Is there any other report would contain this information?

To include YouTube placements, add WHERE AdNetworkType1 IN [YOUTUBE_SEARCH, YOUTUBE_WATCH] to your request. Let me know if it works.

If you encounter any issue after trying my suggestion, please provide the complete report definition you used as well as your clientCustomerId and reply via Reply privately to author.

Hi Luis,

Looks like this does return the Youtube placement data but I think it's the aggregated version of domain="youtube.com".

I am looking for the detailed version of its that would provide me with the Youtube channelId of the placement

Hello Han Vo,

This was sent over to me because I've worked quite a bit with reports. Please take a look in the UI at the Placements WHERE ADS SHOWED report. You will see that there is no column for ad. This is why you do not see the ad in the API report. Do you see the channel ID in the UI report? Perhaps I missed it. If it is not in the UI, then it will not be in that report either. Unfortunately, I do not believe there is a way to connect all that data together across reports.

Hello Han Vo,

My apologies for the delay in responding. This one is an odd one. I found that the actual YouTube channel is not in those reports. It's the one piece that is missing compared to the UI. The only place that I see detailed information is in the Url Performance Report in the CriteriaParameters and the Url. That has the exact video where it showed. The downside is that this report is a single attribution report and not a multi-attribution report, so you won't see all of them like you do in the placements report and the automatic placements report. However, you'll at least get more details on the exact locations where these ads were placed.

Hello,

Our current focus has been bringing the new Google Ads API online, so this will not be added to the placement report in the AdWords API in the future. However, with the way that Google Ads API is being built for the future, it may be something we can consider for the new API.
