Could you please help me finding a way to calculate the cost during a specific time from, let's say last 12 hours, not a date frame.

Since it appears that your concern is product specific. With this, I would suggest raising your concern to the product team via this link as they are more knowledgeable on how metrics / statistics are accumulated / computed on specific account for specific time frame.

At this time you can only specify segments.date in YYYY-MM-DD format:

https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/query/date-ranges

Hi everyone,

To confirm, a 12 hour period is not possible to retrieve using the API, and also, the API only mirrors possible date ranges from the UI. That said, the possible date ranges that can be used is as shared by Pete earlier.

In addition, calculation of metrics is more of a product related concern. That also said, as mentioned by our colleague Ernie, please reach out to the Google Ads Product Support team, via this link, for more information regarding calculations and formulas involved for your metrics.
