Using customer sync selector to find changes made by user

Hi guys,

I am using the customer sync selector service to retrieve the list of changed campaigns through the AdWords API.

This gives me a complete list of ALL the changed campaigns between two datetimes.

Through the AdWords interface, it is possible to filter this list by user, e.g. only show the changes made by a specific user.

It it possible to do the same thing through the API?

I want to either specify the user as part of the query, or perform filtering after the API has returned a response. Are either of these possible?

Hi,

The API does not provide user information related to changes. We're aware that there's interest in this functionality but this is not available at the moment.

Q: Hi,
      Just wondering if there has been any changes in the api, since this post for CustomerSyncSelector.
1. Given a campaign has changed, I get the list of campaigns and adgroups correctly as expected. However:
a. I am not able to determine using the api, who has made the relevant change.
b. I can get the relevant "changed object" back, but do not know if there is a way to get the object "before" the change, so that I can determine what has changed.
     b-1. Also the object seems to show me its value at the current time and not for the date range specified.( Am  I correct?)
For example if I ask for the account changes on March 1 2015 and I get back one campaign change, and the change is in AdGroupCriterion, what was the change and what was the values of the AdGroupCriterion before the change. What I seem to get is the value for that particular AdGroupCriterion at the current time, not for March 1 2015.
Hope I am making sense.

Hi Olivier,

The CustomerSyncService will not give you before and after snapshots of the changed objects. It merely tells you which objects changed within the requested date/time range. Please see this post for more details.
