0 values in metrics for age segment reports (app campaigns) if report was done from customer, not MCC

I am experiencing inconsistencies in report data between Google Ads UI from customer and MCC accounts and as a result of this on API side.
Our final goal is to retrieve Campaign metrics reports from API side with day + network + age segments.
Here are the campaigns that we run in last month: mostly multi-channel app campaigns (with 3d party conversion actions) and youtube campaigns(<10%).
The same UI reports from MCC and Customer account contains different number or rows if you do `age_range_view` report (add Age row segment):
customer report containing only Youtube campaign rows. And the reason is - all other "App" campaigns, have all 0 in metrics, so google ads filter it out, despite from MCC metrics values being present for all types of campaigns.
No matter which segments are applied already (day, network) or not applied at all.
The easiest steps to reproduce: take Predifined -> Basic -> Campaign report and add `Age` as ROW.
Please advise on the following:
1. Can we access and retrieve MCC reports through the API?
2. If not, what causes discrepancies in the age_range_view report, resulting in no metrics for app campaigns from the customer account reports?

I apologize for the confusion, the issue is not about discrepancies between UI and API, it's more like discrepancies between MCC UI and customer UI.
API report fetching is mentioned as our final goal.
Let me somehow rephrase the questions
– Why does adding `Age` as Row to Customer Report results in no metrics (all zeros) for the App campaigns while for Youtube only campaign it's present? Although doing an identical report with `Age` Row from MCC account keeps all metrics present for all campaigns type.
– Is it possible to use API to fetch reports as from MCC, not Customer?

- I can see that your concern is related to Google Ads UI. Please note that our team only provides support for Google Ads API related concerns. With this, I highly suggest to reach out to the Google Ads Product support team regarding this matter.

- Yes it is possible but you can only fetch report using the MCC without metrics. An MCC account is not allowed to fetch reports with metrics. You will get a "REQUESTED_METRICS_FOR_MANAGER" error when you try to fetch a report with metrics using a manager account.
