Getting Conversion Action type IDs

Good morning.

I'm trying to trigger a click conversion with https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v8/ConversionUploadService#uploadclickconversions. 
Currently I'm receiving the following error

"Resource name 'customers/xxx-yyy-zzzz/conversionActions/Hire' is malformed: expected 'customers/{customer_id}/conversionActions/{ConversionType.conversion_type_id}'., at conversions[0].conversion_action"

I tried both sending xxx-yyy-zzzz and xxxyyyzzzz, and I have the same error, which makes me think for the conversion action I need to send the correspondent ID. 

How do you get the ID?

Hi Oriol,

'Hire' is the issue, it's not a ConversionType.conversion_type_id. Customer Id should be without dashes.

Could you privately send us a request and response log of API communication that returns this error?  The request and response appears similar to the JSON Mappings in our REST documentation. Our client libraries have loggers with logging instructions, to see these instructions you can click on the client library you use in the sidebar of our client library guide and click on "Logging". Setting the logger to 'DEBUG' will get the desired log.
