Hi Experts
I am exploring the benefits of using Adwords API to make better Reporting than what we currently have with the UI of Adwords.
The current Adwords UI gives the option to make reporting segmentation only for one or two dimensions at a time, so if for example we would like to analyze our daily conversion according to placement + Device Type + Age + Hour it is impossible.
Is it possible to get this kind of granular data using the API ?

Hi Erez,

In the AdWords API, the single report may not contain all segmentation fields you mentioned above. You could check the Criteria Performance Report, which has DeviceCriteriaType (will represent placement or age etc.) fields.                                                                                 You could also check AGE_RANGE_PERFORMANCE_REPORTPLACEMENT_PERFORMANCE_REPORT documentation for more details.

Hi Umesh,
So basically if i want to understand how a very narrow segment performing (say Country (Sweden)  + Device Type (Samsung) + OS (Android) + Age (18-24) + Gender (Male)
i will need to create a campaign with this specific segmentation - only than i can have a sense of how this segment work ?

Hi Erez,

If the campaigns have the location, demographic, placements targeting set then its information(statistics or segmentation) could be retrieved using the AdWords API reports mentioned above. If not, then campaigns need to have these targeting set.
