AdCustomizer Ads Not Working when Uploading Feed via Google Ads API

Hi there,

we are trying to build few campaigns using Ad Customizer features. 

Although, what we are noticing is that when we upload the AdCustomizer Feed via Google Ads API, none of the dynamic Ads (the ones using AdCustomizer parameters) are actual able to deliver (no impressions at all). The only Ads which seem to be working are the Fall Back ones. We got in touch with the Ads Support Team. They found that there were no issues with the setup of the attributes or the formatting in the ads themselves for the feed. 

The real weird thing is that when we download the same exact Feed form the Business Data, and we manually upload it back to the Account, then those dynamic Ads start to deliver. The Google Ads API Direct Support was noticing what fallows:

The first small difference is that it appears the UI has some kind of implicit matching function set up that has the feed item ID. The other one from the API does not have a matching function.

My suggestion is through the API to do a get() of your Feed where a matching function could be (https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/guides/feed-matching-functions) of the Feed that is currently working in the UI. If it does have a matching function, then you can do the same in the API Feed. 

Any idea or suggestion how to speed up our debugging process? Anybody has already experienced the same issue?
