Python SDK, Test Account: No campaigns were found

Hello,

I have been reading the rest of the similar posts in trying to find a solution but I seem to be following all the right steps and it still doesn't work.

I am using the latest Python SDK (v201702) with:

1. The developer_token from the Production MCC account
   
2. The client_customer_id from the client Test Account that I have created inside the Test MCC account.
3. The client_id, client_secret, refresh_token, all relating to the Test MCC account.
4. I have created a video campaign inside the client Test Account

I still get 0 campaigns back.

The only suspicious thing that I can see is that the AdWords web UI is telling me that the Account is not active because of not having any billing information:

Your account isn't active - To activate your account and start running your ads, enter your billing information.  

I would think that this should not be a problem because this is a Test Account but perhaps I am wrong.

Can you please help?

Hi Adamos, 

Video campaigns are not supported in AdWords API services at the moment. You can only use AdWords API reports to get performance statistics pertaining to your video campaigns. This is the reason you see that no campaigns are returned by CampaignService. Could you try creating campaigns using the add_campaigns.py example and then try to retrieve campaigns in your account?

Thanks for the reply, I will try it with a non-video campaign.

As for supporting video campaigns on the API, do you know if there is a plan for that to happen?

If so, what is the ETA?

We don't have an estimate on when Video Campaigns will be supported in AdWords API services. Please keep an eye on our blog for announcements or updates about this feature.

I'm experiencing the same issue with get_campaigns.py. I can confirm that I'm using:

1. The developer_token from the Production MCC account
2. The client_id, client_secret, and refresh_token relating to the Test MCC account.
3. The client_customer_id from the client test account created under the Test MCC account.
4. Multiple non-video campaigns.

Could you enable logging by following the instructions provided here and send over the SOAP request and response logs generated when the get_campaigns.py example is executed? Please use Reply privately to author when responding.

Here's a brief summary of the last discussion as this might help other forum users who might be facing a similar issue:

The user was using the MCC account ID to retrieve the campaigns. You will need to use the customer Id of the AdWords client account to make CampaignService.get() API request.
