Hi all

This has been driving me nuts. GA is reporting that the gclid query string is being stripped from URLs, and this does appear to be correct as the number of sessions is WAY less than the number of clicks reported.

There are no redirects, and the developer assures me that there is nothing server side that would be causing this to happen. I have run several tests and each time I am served with a 200, and the gclid remains appended to the URL.

I also tried manually tagging to see if it was just as issue with auto tagging, but it's stripping these parameters too. I'm really all out of ideas as to why this could be happening, but it's *really* messing up my PPC ROAS reports in GA!

The client does use some kind of weird cookie thing when a user enters the site, so I'm not sure if this could be interfering with it somehow?

Can share the response headers I'm seeing if anyone can help?

Thanks

Vic

Hi Vic,

This group covers questions specific to the AdWords API, but your question seems to be Google Analytics-related. I'd suggest posting to the Analytics Help Forum instead.

Thanks,
