The New API 21609 has 3 new fields for quality score factors. Roughly 7% of quality score has no value in it. Which translates to these 3 fields having a value of "Not Applicable".

When we see the adwords UI for the same ad group and keywords we see the quality score and the factors have value too.

Is this an API only issue? If so how can this be fixed?

Hi Raghu,

I am not aware of any 21609 (or 201609) version of the AdWords API. Currently the latest version is the v201607. In that link, it is also mentioned that the QualityScore value of the Keywords Performance and Criteria Performance reports had been changed and will have two dashes (--) when there aren't enough impressions or clicks to accurately determine its score.

Could you also provide more information (screenshot or documentation link) as to which 3 fields you mentioned are having the "Not Applicable" value?

Thanks and regards,
Peter

Sorry its a typo. I meant to say "201609". Is the same 3 fields CTR factor, ad relevancy factor and landing page factor.

Hi Raghu,

There is currently no available 201609 version of the AdWords API at the moment and there have been no announcements as to when and what version will be available next. I would recommend that you follow our blog for future updates.

Additionally, the "Not Applicable" status that appears in the PostClickQualityScore (Landing page experience) and fields CreativeQualityScore (Ad Relevance) are due to the score being too low to be determined. Could you provide more information as to which documentation or AdWords link you referred to for the "CTR Factor" field?

Thanks,
Peter

I  am sorry again.  Its v201607 that I am currently using.

The three fields are:

'PostClickQualityScore', # Landing page factor for QS
'CreativeQualityScore', # Adrelevance factor for QS
'SearchPredictedCtr', # CTR factor for QS

I understand that the "Not Applicable" is given where the quality score is very low to determine. However, the field "QualityScore" has a value and from what I see they range from 2-6

Thanks,
Raghu

Hi Raghu,

My apologies if I did not understand the issue right away. The PostClickQualityScore, CreativeQualityScore and SearchPredictedCtr values are not determined by the value in the QualityScore field. The QualityScore field pertains to score of the AdGroupCriterion (Keyword), while the PostClickQualityScore is determined based on the landing page, the CreativeQualityScore is based on the Ad and SearchPredictedCtr is based on clickthrough rate compared to other advertisers.

Best regards,
Peter
