Bid simulation not working

Hi,

I'm trying to retrieve some simulations for adgroup criterions with this example. 

I'm not using a test account, i'm using a production account with real campaigns.

What i'm retriving is nothing, an empty result without errors.

Am I doing something wrong?

To investigate the issue, could you provide the complete request and response logs with request ID generated on your end? Please provide it via Reply privately to author option.

If you haven't enabled the logging of the API transactions for the specific client library that you are using, then please refer to the specific guide below:

Can someone help me, please? 

I have already answered privately to Ernie, but i think he missed my answer.

That simulation example code (that I linked in the original answer) doesn't give me any type of response, it's only an empty result, no errors, nothing.

Please get back to us if you didn't receive 2 private emails on this thread that we sent to you after you sent your screenshots.

I looked over your code and it matches GetAdGroupCriterionCpcBidSimulations.cs example so I ran the example adding in logging in the 'main' method and logs came.

If you cannot get logging to work on the example then you can reach out to the google-ads-dotnet issue tracker for assistance.

If you can get it to work with the example then we suggest you match your implementation against the example to see what you are doing differently. From your screenshot I couldn't find anything that could cause trouble.

Hi Aryeh,

I've tried using Search instead of SearchStream, but I get the same result.

I've found this in the issue tracker: https://github.com/googleads/google-ads-dotnet/issues/283 but the issue it's still open.

The strange thing is that, in my project, I use many times SearchStream but in that cases the code works fine, I get a response and both the request and response get logged.

Is there some limitation on Simulation response? Or in the request?

UPDATE:

I've tried with curl and postman, and the response is always an empty result -> [ ]

If I make, for example, a request to get all the campaigns of a customer (using the C# library or postman or curl) all work just fine!

I've tried to get simulations for all GoogleAds API objects, and none is working:
Ad Group
Ad Group Criterion
Bidding Strategy (portfolio)
Campaign 

Campaign Criterion

The question is: the problem is in the GoogleAds API or in my account? Do I need to have some kind of special permissions?

I'm not using a test account, i'm using a production account with a Basic Access.

Please help me, as I have been stuck on this issue for about a month now.

Hi Christian,

Thank you for the replies.

I received an update from my team and let me share it to you. Our team checked the campaign and ad group and we noticed that the bidding strategy set to it is target_cpa and this is the possible reason why you can't get any cpc bid simulations back.
