Image from ImageAd has no mediaId

Hello!

When using the AdGroupAdService to get display ads the Image object that I retrieve from an ImageAd has null MediaIds.

It does have most of the times ReferenceIds though.

To get the MediaId of those images what I did was use the MediaService to get images by ReferenceId.

However this does not always work and sometimes it doesn't return any entry.

Could anybody advice on a solution for this?

Hello Mario,

Thank you for reaching out. The AdGroupAdService will return the ImageAd via API if it exists in your Google Ads account which will contain the mediaId of the image. Could you please share the complete request and response logs along with the client customer id for me to investigate this further on my end and assist you better?
