Hello,
We are extracting data from Google Ads API using Stitch.
We recently migrated from the AdWords API and have reset the tables and extracted all past data to fit the new tables format.

We noticed that when we aggregate the daily metrics in the tables "account_performance_report" and "ad_performance_report"", they match perfectly until 25/04/2022 (with the AdWords sunset date being two days later), and from then onwards there are some discrepancies, in particular with regard to cost_micros, impressions and clicks.
The differences start out small, when in mid May reaching as high as 400-800 USD difference in cost, and differences in impressions reaching as high as 200K.
The ad_performance_report shows less total impressions, clicks and costs in each day.

Has anyone ran into a similar issue? Is there something we are missing regarding the migration from AdWords? Did some ads data move to a different table?

Thanks in advance,
Ori

Hi Ori,

Thank you for raising this concern to the Google Ads API Forum.

To check this in our end, could you please provide the complete API request and response logs with request-id and login-customer-id that generated on your end for the 2 reports at the account and ad level? This information will help our team to better check the said issue. If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link. You can provide it via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead to this email address googleadsa...@google.com.

Best regards,

Hi Ori,

Both old and new APIs had problems on April 25 and April 26, see
(very good you mentioned the exact date)

You should contact StitchData, creator of Stitch. Ask whether they took above blogpost in consideration, and why later reports differ so much from Google Ads web interface. Maybe they have a blogpost about the outage as well.

Note I am not affiliated with StitchData, neither am I using Stitch. I just heard of the product.

Hi Zweitze,

Thanks for posting your comment on the Ori’s concern. I agree with this blog post that you have shared on this post. However, the requested details by Jinky would help our team to check better on the discrepancies reported using our API directly.

I also agree that Ori may reach out to the Stitch support team as Stitch's Google Ads integration is out of the support scope of Google Ads API since we don’t have direct access to this integration for further investigation.

Thank you Zweitze for helping Google Ads API community:)

Regards,
