Hi, I'm getting this error while trying to communicate with the API via a service account using the REST API.

I've been able to successfully retrieve an access token using the steps described in this guide

However, when I use the access token to POST to the generateKeywordIdeas endpoint, I get a `request is missing required authentication credential` error. I'm including the access token in the header, and the developer token too.

I'm assuming there is an issue with the way I've set up my accounts.

Thanks

Hi Abdullah,

Thanks for reaching out to the Google Ads API Forum. I hope you are doing well today.

With regards to your concern about “Request is missing required authentication credential error”, could you please double check if you’re sending the correct developer token for your API request? Also, if the generated access token is associated with any Google Ads account?

In line with this, for us to further assist you, can you provide the complete API logs (request and response logs with request ID). This will help us to further assist you.

For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag. This will cause the tool to include the HTTP response headers in the output.

You can provide it via Reply privately to the author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com.

Have a great day.

Regards,
