Thank you for reaching out. Smart Campaigns are not yet supported in the AdWords API or the Google Ads API. Please refer to this documentation for a list of supported campaign types in AdWords API or this documentation for Google Ads API. A feature request has been put in place for Smart Campaigns, but we do not have a timeline for when it will be available. For any updates on this, please keep an eye out on our blog.

The Google Ads API release notes for 4.0.0 beta (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/release-notes) mention the support of Smart Campaigns. What capabilities have been released as part of this support for Smart Campaigns?

Hi Ankit,

As mentioned in this blog post, the capabilities that have been released for Smart Campaigns include reporting and retrieving. You can do so with Campaign.advertising_channel_type set to SMART.

Would you be able to explain in more details which capabilities are supported as part of reporting and retrieving? Can we get the ad copies in a smart campaign, as well as search terms?

Thanks for reaching out. I’m Danica colleague assisting you on her behalf. You can use campaign report by filtering advertising_channel_type set to SMART.  we do not have specific information to get the ad copies in a smart campaign.
