Hello Google Ads team.

I have a question. Currently, for the creation of AdGroupAd or AdGroupCriterion, my logic is that if a Google Ads policy violation alert pops up, the user can request to continue anyway and proceed to a more in-depth verification by Google. This serves the same purpose as the following imageScreenshot 2025-09-04 205947.png

This is done through the "PolicyValidationParameter" parameter of the AdGroupAdOperation operation (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v21/AdGroupAdOperation).

However, I'm looking for how to implement this same functionality for the PMAX campaign creation process, but I can't find any documentation on this parameter in AssetGroupAssetOperation (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v21/AssetGroupAssetOperation).

I'd like to confirm if it's not available or if it's done differently. I've verified that it can be done through the Google Ads Manager UI.

I'm requesting this because a user encountered this exact error today when creating an asset group with a policy violation.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Based on the information provided, I understand that you are encountering a POLICY_FINDING error while creating the asset group using the Google Ads API. Kindly note that as per the API documentation, currently the policy exemption requests are available only for the keywords and ads. For the AssetGroupAssetOperation there is no way to add the policy exemption requests using the Google Ads API as there is no PolicyValidationParameter available at the asset group level. Can you confirm whether you want this feature (PolicyValidationParameter) to be available while creating the AssetGroupAssetOperation? If yes, then confirm us so that we can raise a request to add this feature at the AssetGroupAssetOperation level in the Google Ads API.

Thanks,
