Rest API AD_IMAGE in Performance Max Asset Group

Hello,

I would like to use rest API to add images to section in the attached image.

As per documentation I don't see AD_IMAGE type - could you please advise if there is a way to add AD_IMAGE type asset to asset group in Performance Max campaigns using rest API?

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Kindly note that your understanding is correct that the Google Ads API currently does not use the term "AD_IMAGE" for assets within Performance Max campaigns. Instead, it uses the concept of Asset Field Types. I suggest you refer to the documents Mutate and Performance Max - Asset Groups to get more information.
