Data not available on Google Ads API but is available on Adwords API

Hi,

I started to pull data for one of my customers from the Google Ads API.

The data returns empty for one of the Accounts, while pulling from the equivalent endpoint in Adwords API did returned data.

API calls on Google Ads API:

Service = GoogleAdsService

endpoint#1:

"SELECT segments.date, campaign.id, campaign.name, customer.currency_code, campaign.app_campaign_setting.app_id, campaign.app_campaign_setting.app_store, campaign.advertising_channel_type, campaign.advertising_channel_sub_type, metrics.impressions, metrics.clicks, metrics.cost_micros, campaign_criterion.location.geo_target_constant FROM location_view WHERE segments.date >= '{start_date}' AND segments.date <= '{end_date}' ORDER BY segments.date"

endpoint#2:

Account & Refresh_token will be sent privately.

The shared queries are both for Google Ads API. Could you please share the AdWords API report query too, date range along with the client customer Id to investigate further? You can share the details privately via Reply privately to author option.

Hi Omri, 

Thank you for sharing the details privately. The specific account contains only Discovery campaigns which is not yet supported through Google Ads API. It is expected that this will not return any results. There is already an existing feature request for this. Please keep an eye on our blog for more updates.

1. Is it documented somewhere in the Google Ads API Documentation?
   
2. Are there any other Campaign types that are not supported using the Google Ads API?
3. Is there any ETA regarding this feature to be released?

Hi Omri, 

There is no specific documentation for the campaign types that are supported/not supported. You may find the list of campaign types that are supported through the API here. There are certain features in Google Ads which are added on an on-going basis which may or may not be supported through the Google Ads API. Currently, we do not have a definite timeline on the Discovery campaigns support. Please keep an eye on our blog for more updates.
