How can we query ad customizer values via AWQL?

How can we query ad customizer values via AWQL?

I'm getting empty files from the AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT even though the account has ad customizers.

In order to query ad customizer values, you can make use of the AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT and utilize the FeedItemAttributes to fetch the attribute values for the feed item.

You've mentioned that you're getting empty files when using the AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT, can you share with us the details below so we can check on our end?

• Customer ID
• Complete report definition in AWQL form

Thank you for providing further details to your concern. I work with Mark and let me provide support to your concern.

Please note that the AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT provides statistics for feed items used in Ad Customizers. However, when I checked your account, I did not see any feed for ad customizer and this is the possible reason why you are generating an empty report.

Thanks for taking a look.

I can confirm that the account does have ad customizers which are displayed accordingly in live searches. They haven't been submitted manually but via API calls, that's why they are not visible in Google Ads UI.

Please let me know if there is a way to query those values via AWQL?

You mentioned that: "they haven't been submitted manually but via API calls, that's why they are not visible in Google Ads UI.", could you further elaborate if those calls were indeed made via the API? Are they using this guide when creating Ad customizers?

Please note that the AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT results are in sync to what's shown in the Google Ads UI. Since those data aren't visible in the UI (as you've mentioned); then those shouldn't also be included in the report.

Thanks for clarifying.

I can't confirm how the values are submitted technically but can double-check internally and get back to you if you need the technical details. If AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT shows only values submitted manually (and visible in Google Ads UI) then it makes sense that it returns empty reports.

Is there a way to query ad customizer values submitted via API calls using AWQL?

I work with Mark and will assist you. I tried finding ad customizer feeds in your account via the new Ads API using feed_placeholder_view and didn't succeed. Are you looking for standard feeds, or the simpler to create ad customizers?

Hi Aryeh,

We are just trying to query the already existing ad customizer values in that Google Ads account, just to double-check. As mentioned, the values have already been submitted and are showing in ads accordingly.

Thank you for the reply.

Please note that whether the ad customizer is created in the UI or using API, it should reflect in the UI and the AD_CUSTOMIZERS_FEED_ITEM_REPORT should also return the metrics and statistics of that ad customizer feed.

However, if you uploaded ad customizer feed using API but did not reflect in the UI, then please provide the complete SOAP request and response logs generated on your end so that we can check if there is any issues. You can provide the requested details via Reply privately to author option.
