Questions about creating billing setups through API

Hi,

I am trying to create billing setups through API, and meet two questions.
1. A billing setup can only be create to client account, or also manager account?
2. I can see from Google Ads UI "Billing setups"  tab that there is a field of "Currency", but when creating a new billing setup with new payments accounts, as the example in here (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/billing/billing-setups#using_a_new_payments_account) there is no way to set the currency. So how is the currency set?

1. A billing setup can only be created to a client account, or also a manager account?

>> With regards to this matter, you can set up billing for a client account or manager account, however please note that although one Ads account can be linked to multiple manager accounts, the billing setup for that Google Ads account is managed by only one of those manager accounts.

2. I can see from Google Ads UI "Billing setups" tab that there is a field of "Currency", but when creating a new billing setup with new payments accounts, as the example in here there is no way to set the currency. So how is the currency set?

>> Please note that the currency will depend on the currency you use when you create your Google Ads account. That said, the API only shows the output based on UI setup.

Hi,

Thank you for you answer. For question 2, if I add billing setup under a manager account in the UI, it will let me choose the currency, as is shown in the first picture,  which is also mentioned in Help center. Is there an api function corresponding to this step?

Thank you for getting back to us. I hope that you are doing well today.

Unfortunately, this setup of changing the currency directly from the manager account is not available in the API. However, I raised a feature request for this feature to become available in the future. Please note that this will be a subject for review and what we can do is to advise you to keep an eye on our blog post and release notes for the updates and releases.
