Suppose we pull historic data (second quarter of 2023) using segments.date, then how would we filter the data for a single day or a given date range in the data we pulled.

Or if we pushed all the historic data till today into redshift, then how can we filter data for a single day or a given date range in the data we pulled.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out to Google Ads API Forum.

With regards to your concern, you may refer to the Date Ranges documentation for more information about the segments.date.

Furthermore, kindly note that a segment.date is one of the core date segments. This means that these segments can be filtered in the WHERE clause without appearing in the SELECT clause. If any of these segments are in the SELECT clause, a finite date range composed of core date segments must be specified in the WHERE clause (the date segments don't need to be the same ones specified in the SELECT). You may also refer to the sample queries on this link (https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/reporting/segmentation#examples).

Additionally, kindly note that Google Ads API mirrors the Google Ads UI. Meaning by using the Google Ads API, you can get and manage the data that you are seeing in the UI. With that being said, you may provide us with the full (not cropped) and non-redacted screenshot of the Google Ads UI data showing this information you want to implement using the Google Ads API. This is for us to be able to replicate the data on our side and suggest you proper guidance.

You may then send the requested information via the Reply privately to the author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.
