Create Campaign Error

Hi,

When I create campaign getting this error:
CampaignError.CANNOT_SET_SELECTIVE_OPTIMIZATION_DURING_OR_POST_UNIFIED_GOAL_MIGRATION
What is it mean and how to fix it ?

Before we proceed to your issue, I would like to inform you first that I am going to remove your latest post as it contains generated logs. However, I understand that you encountered the error CANNOT_SET_SELECTIVE_OPTIMIZATION_DURING_OR_POST_UNIFIED_GOAL_MIGRATION as well. To investigate the issue, please provide the complete SOAP request and response logs with request ID generated on your end. You can provide it via Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, then send it instead on this email address googleadsa...@google.com.

 

As for the "The error code is not in this version." that you encountered in the Google Ads API, then allow me to raise it to the team to know the exact error that you encountered. Rest assured that we will provide updates when available.

Thanks for posting on this forum thread.

Could you confirm if you encountered “CANNOT_SET_SELECTIVE_OPTIMIZATION_DURING_OR_POST_UNIFIED_GOAL_MIGRATION” error while trying to set selective optimization on Search or Display campaign using AdWords API? If yes, then it’s intended behavior since selective optimization is expected to work on app campaigns as shown here. 

However, you can set conversions for a campaign. You may consider using the v9 version of the Google Ads API (https://ads-developers.googleblog.com/2021/11/announcing-v9-of-google-ads-api.html). In the Google Ads API v9, there is a concept called Conversion Goals where you can set custom goals for your campaign.

Hi,

We used selectiveOptimization for years in Search campaign, Adwords API v8. We created many Search campaign with conversions.

But only this conversion id "796663821" in customer id "2535838416" having above error. Pls check it again.
