We promote a product that requires downloading and installing on desktops.
I requested the developer to create offline event for installs to use with Google's automated bidding options. The developer told me that he receives an error when uploading same day events and directed me to Google API documentation, which states:

This click occurred less than 24 hours ago, so it's too recent to be uploaded" (
Source).
It limits our ability to optimize based on offline events because of the long attribution window.
Are you aware of any solution other than optimizing based on an early funnel event?
