Not possible to get ads with type "Third party ad" via Google Ads API

Hello,

In AdGroup we have ads with type "Responsive display ad" and "Third party ad" :

Then I am trying to get all ads for this addGroup via Ads API :

ga_service = self.client.get_service("GoogleAdsService", version="v2")

query = (
    "SELECT ad_group_ad.ad.name, ad_group_ad.ad.type, ad_group_ad.ad.id "
    "FROM ad_group_ad "
    'WHERE ad_group_ad.ad_group = "<RESOURCE_NAME>"'
)

response = ga_service.search(account_id, query=query)

After that I am receiving only ads with type  "Responsive display ad" , but ads with type "Third party ad" are missing.

Is it known issue ?

Do you know when mention issue will be fixed ?

Hello Nazar, 

The ad types that are currently supported are listed here. The Third party ad type is not yet supported through the Google Ads API. I have raised a feature request to the team regarding this. Please keep an eye on our blog for more updates.

But do you have some estimates when mention feature will be implemented ? Few days, weeks or month ?

With regards to your concern about pulling the Third party ads from your account, can you please provide the ad ids of the ads which have the type "Third party ad" and the uncropped Google Ads UI screenshot showing this data?

You may then send the requested logs via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.

Hi Carmela,

there is no request or something. I just wanted to know if that feature of retrieving third Party Ads via API is available.

As there is no such adType in the documentation https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/reference/rpc/v12/AdTypeEnum.AdType - I assume it is not. I just wanted to make sure I do not overlook anything.

With regards to your concern “there is no such adType in the documentation”. Yes, indeed there is no “Third party ad” type and you can see what is only available in Google Ads API AdType. 

However, could you please provide us with an uncropped screenshot of the report or field in UI of the data which shows that it has a “Third party ad”? If this is available in Google Ads Dashboard, we will file a feature request for you but subject for approval.

You may then send the requested screenshot via the Reply privately to author option. If this option is not available, you may send the details directly to our googleadsa...@google.com alias instead.
