Extracting Responsive Ads Data on Asset Level

Hi!

I'm Stav, a BI Developer and A PM at yellowHEAD.

I'm trying to extract data for Responsive Display Ads under Display Web campaigns using Google Ads API. 

I was able to extract a list of assets under each ad, but I wasn't able to view the metrics (cost, impressions, clicks, conversions...) on the asset level - I was only able the view them on the ad level.

I tried using the ad_group_ad_asset_view report, but from the attached article I found out it is only relevant for app ads and that it won't be useful in my case (Display Web campaign).

Is there any way to extract the data and metrics of Responsive Display ads under Display Web campaigns on the asset level?

Hi Stav,

Asset statistics for Responsive Display Ads is currently not available in the Google Ads API. The ad_group_ad_asset_view only returns information of assets that are related to App ads. For more information on asset related reporting, you may refer to this guide.

Also, allow me to file a feature request, subject for review, on asset level metrics. You may keep an eye on our blog for any related updates or announcements.
