To whom this may concern:

We are attempting to set up a scalable way to upload customer data to a customer list, but not seeing much success.
Manager Account: ReachLocal, Inc.559-656-5949
Client Account: Las Vegas Motor Speedway580-421-0833

Please see screenshots at the bottom that illustrate the issue. The source CSV file ` contains 700+ records, and we are attempting to upload those records via our Google Ads API integration. When we do the upload, we receive no errors. However, when attempting to validate on Google Ads UI, we see that the Customer List is still POPULATING, and the upload is PROCESSING two records. After nearly 48 hours, the POPULATING/ PROCESSING notes goes away, and we see SUCCESS with only two records.

Please advise how to resolve this situation so that we can see a majority of 700 records succeed, not just two.

Thank you in advance for your timely assistance with this.
Ash

Hi,

Thank you for contacting the Google Ads API support team.

Please note that you are comparing the number of operations visible in the UI to the number of records present in your CSV file. This comparison is not relevant as a single operation can contain more than one record.

With regard to your concern regarding ‘populating’ status, kindly note that as per this document, it can take up to 24 hours for a list to be populated with members, you might see an In Progress status in the Google Ads UI if you upload to an audience list more frequently than once every 12 hours.

For better match rates, please ensure to populate the consent object field while uploading customer lists. Starting on March 6, 2024 if consent is missing for EEA users, then the consent value is determined as not consented. Data from unconsented EEA users won't be processed and cannot be used for ad personalization using Customer Match. See FAQs and updates to consent mode for more details. You may refer to the Usage flow section for more information.

If you still have any concerns, kindly get back to us.

Thanks,
