Yes, this should be possible. However, so I can provide you the appropriate service to accomplish this, could you confirm whether you are using the AdWords API or the Google Ads API?

Hi Kyle,

Unfortunately, the status of a product group can't be manually updated and its value is managed by Google. If a value is provided in a mutate, it is discarded.
