Additional google ads request

As per the latest Google suggestion, when we added the Google Tag for Floodlight, we observed an additional hit going to the adwords.
and when we checked the initiator this was loading from the floodlight tag.
What could be the potential reason for this?

We are currently using Google Ads through Google Tag Manager.

Can you please share some details about why loading a Google tag for Floodlight would generate a Google AdWords request?
