Failed to use pending developer token against test account

Hello Forum,

I created new developer token till I'll get approval answer I tried to use it with my test account.
I created test accounts and campaigns in my test accounts manager and tried to run API call,
yet I'm getting Error: soap:Client: [QuotaCheckError.DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED @ ; trigger:'<null>'].

Any idea?

There is currently an ongoing issue affecting newly created test accounts which result in an error similar to yours. Allow me to update you once a fix has been made available.

Seems pretty major, in some sense? No details, really? :)

I’m building my product here and I’ve been completely blocked by this for some time now. How can I proceed? Is it better to validate my production account already and test towards production for now? I’m not yet launched so it doesn’t have a big impact on me, at least. What other approaches exist, Peter?

We were able to work around this issue by using the Google AdWords API to create a test managed customer account using ManagedCustomerService to ADD the new ManagedCustomer.

This did not work for me.

 I can create test accounts through the API on the Test Manager account, but accessing them via the API still results in the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error.

Hi,

A fix for this has been deployed, but it will only fix newly created client accounts under a test manager account. If you encountered this error, please create a new client account under your test manager account and use the new account for API requests. There's no need to create a new test manager account.
