TargetingIdeaService API not returning any data for generic terms like "clicks" and "diploma"

As per topic, can someone shed some light on why is this happening? There are many more keywords that appeared to be popular but they are null in Google AdWords API, i.e. without any search volume data.

Is there a page or explanation to this? How can I get the entire list of restricted/blocked keywords?

Hello,

You will need to reach out to the Google Ads product team to see why this behavior occurs since these results also come out to zero when using the Keyword Planner, which is what the TargetingIdeaService pulls its data from.

I also stumbled upon a similar issue reported May 2019 - https://support.google.com/google-ads/thread/6097970 without any solution. :(
