Empty Recommendations

Hi,

I using google ads API for get recommendations of accounts but it return empty while it have many recommendations in UI.

I also use query "SELECT recommendation.text_ad_recommendation, recommendation.campaign FROM recommendation" (customer Id 294-644-4402).

but no recommendations in response. I see many Recommendations in Adwords UI.

Thanks for sharing the request and response logs. It looks like there are no recommendations in UI against the client customer Id: 721-369-6225. Also, for the shared report definition against client customer Id: 294-644-4402, there are no text_ad_recommendations in UI. This is the reason you are getting empty response while running the report query. Could you please try getting the recommendations via API which are already available in UI and let me know if you still face any issues.

Hi,

1) Customer 721-369-6225: I saw 6 recommendations "6 ad groups do not have any keywords" and 13 recommendations "13 ad groups do not have any ads".

2) Customer Id 294-644-4402: Many recommendations in UI, but seems API supports limited kinds of recommendations.

Q2) How to get optimization score of each recommendation group like I see in UI?

Hi Martin,

Could you please try and run the below report query against client customer Id: 721-369-6225 and let me know if it works? Also, please find my response to your queries below:
"SELECT recommendation.resource_name, recommendation.type FROM recommendation LIMIT 100"

1. Is there any way to get more recommendations except ones supported in above link? Currently, the Google Ads API only supports the recommendation types mentioned in this guide. There is no alternative to get more recommendations except the one listed in the shared guide.

2. How to get optimization score of each recommendation group like I see in UI? It is not possible to get this optimization score via API. Our team is already aware of this issue and are working to add this in the API. Please keep an eye on our blog for updates on upcoming releases.
