Any good way to automate Auction Insights report pulls?

Seems a lot have asked about getting API access for years, to no avail. 

Is there a good work around?

Could you confirm if the issue you are facing is about pulling reports or getting AdWords API access? Or possibly, both? Also, if it isn't too much trouble could you provide more information regarding the issue you are facing?
