Not receiving ad_name from ad_group_ad for ad_id:

Hi,

For customer id 3946675100 we are not receiving the ad_group_ad.ad.name for ad_group_ad.ad_id: 693810141112. 
The query we are using is: 

SELECT
ad_group_ad.status,
ad_group_ad.resource_name,
ad_group_ad.ad_group,
ad_group_ad.ad.video_ad.video.asset,
ad_group_ad.ad.resource_name,
ad_group_ad.ad.name,
ad_group_ad.ad.id,
ad_group_ad.ad.image_ad.image_url,
campaign.id
FROM
ad_group_ad

Can you explain why this is the case?

I would request you to provide us the API response logs along with the uncropped UI screenshot by highlighting the fields that you're trying to retrieve via the API to better assist you on this request. 

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java, .Net, PHP, Python, Ruby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

The ad_group_ad.ad object in the Google Ads API is a polymorphic object. It can contain different types of ads (text ads, image ads, video ads, etc.). The fields available within ad_group_ad.ad depend on the specific ad type. If the ad is a text ad, ad_group_ad.ad.name will be populated. If it's a different type of ad, that field will be null.

Thanks for the reply. But this has worked for search campaigns but suddenly it seems to be not working anymore. Also I can get it from the UI still, so should be possible to get.

From the request ID you shared, I could see you are using ‘5901767327’ as customer ID instead of ‘3946675100’ which you shared earlier. By using the Google Ads account ‘3946675100’ as a customer ID, we tried to execute the query you provided and were successful in retrieving all ad group ad data including ad_group_ad.ad_id: 693810141112. I would suggest you to execute the query using ‘3946675100’ as customer ID.

If your issue still persists, kindly get back to us.

I used a different account, as I don't have direct UI access to 3946675100 but I have it to 5901767327 but the same issue is occuring there. So could you perhaps still give answer to the issue?
As the adverisement UI given screenshot is also given NULL in the response from the API.

Upon checking your Google Ads account (590-176-7327), I could see that the ad ‘693810141112’ under the ad group is not present in the account. If you could see the specific ad ‘693810141112’ in the Google Ads account (590-176-7327), kindly provide us with the uncropped UI screenshot by highlighting the specific ad.
