Getting "billing_setup_error: NO_SIGNUP_PERMISSION" when trying to create new account under MCC

Hi,

I'm trying to create an account under an MCC using Google Ads API. We get blocked at the last step when we receive an error log that says

billing_setup_error: NO_SIGNUP_PERMISSION

The MCC has a payments profile attached, and has permissions to perform billing set up, but we're still getting this error.

As you’ve mentioned that you’ve encountered an error NO_SIGNUP_PERMISSION, its recommends to reach out to your representative to enable sign up permissions for a user.

Also, to investigate the issue further, could you please provide the complete request and response logs, with the request-id? If you haven't yet, logging can be enabled by navigating to the Client libraries > Your client library (ex. Java) > Logging documentation, which you can access from this link.You can provide it via Reply privately to author option.
