Google Ads API - The developer token is not approved error

Hi,
I am currently using a developer test account in my project to hit the google ads API. But I am getting "The developer token is not approved. Non-approved developer tokens can only be used with test accounts." Kindly help with a solution.

Thank you for reaching out. You encountered the DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error as your developer token is with the Test access, however, you were trying to make API calls to a production account. Please note that non-approved developer tokens can only be used with test accounts. The solution is to either upgrade your access level to Basic access via this form or make API calls to test accounts.
