I am getting this error when uploading conversions that used "wbraid" instead of "gclid":

ERROR: Customer is not allowlisted for accessing this feature., at conversions[0].wbraid

I have been reading about "wbraid", and it seems that you need to be allowlisted to get access to this feature, which doesn't make sense.

And to get allowlisted you need to have a Google Ads Representative assigned to your account.

Currently I don't have a Google Ads Representative assigned to my account, so I can't activate the "wbraid" and the tracking for these clicks is lost.

How can I get a Google Ads Representative assigned?

I have already sent a message here: https://support.google.com/google-ads/gethelp to request a Google Ads Representative.

But this process shouldn't be like this. Too much hassle to be able to get access to a needed tracking feature.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for reaching out to us.

This feature is currently running in a limited beta, and the allowlisting process can be initiated via your representative, that’s why for now, I would suggest you wait for the Product team as they are the right team to request a Google Representative for you. If you are able to make contact with the Google Representative that will be assigned to you, please have them reach out to us at googleadsa...@google.com if they have question with the allowlisting process.

Best regards,

When 10% of the clicks are coming with "wbraid" value, this feature shouldn't be in beta and show be available to all advertisers.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for getting back to the Google Ads API team.

With regard to, "When 10% of the clicks are coming with "wbraid" value, this feature shouldn't be in beta and show be available to all advertisers.", I am afraid that this is not the way for allowlisting. That said, we would really suggest making contact with the Google Representative that will be assigned to you, please have them reach out to us at googleadsa...@google.com if they have questions with the allowlisting process.

It has been 3 days since I've contacted Google Ads support to ask for a Representative. Still no reply.

Google Ads API forum experts told me to contact Google Ads Support. Google Ads Support told me to contact Google Ads API Support.

There is clearly a problem here of who is responsible of enabling this feature. We are in a loop.

What should I do now? There should be better guidelines here.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for getting back to us. I am Sherwin from Google Ads API. I hope that you are doing well today.

Our team understands the issue you are currently encountering. To be honest here with you, our team would not be able to identify a Google representative for you. The Google Ads Product Support team generally should be able to connect you with a representative and you may reach their team via this link.

Once you are connected to a Google representative / Account manager, then you may include them in this thread or recommend them to contact our team separately through our googleadsa...@google.com alias, so we can then provide them the information they need to have your account allowlisted to use the wbraid feature.

However, if you do not have account manager, it is not possible allowlist. You need to wait until this feature opens for everyone in public release as per our guide, it states that :

  • Uploading offline conversions using wbraid or gbraid instead of gclid is currently behind an allowlist, and we expect to eventually roll it out to all users.
Please keep an eye on our blog for further updates and announcements.

Kind regards,

This is their new reply:

=====
Unfortunately, no account manager is assigned to Google Ads account XXXXXXXXX. Since account managers are assigned automatically by the system, we have no way to request the manager. Please follow the API support given instructions.
=====

So it seems that there is no way to get a Google Ads Representative assigned, and therefore we can't enabled "wbraid" tracking.

Do you see the incongruence here?

Google should better handle these situations, specially when 10% of the clicks are coming with "wbraid" parameter. That means that 10% of the tracking IS LOST as of right now.

Just because "wbraid" tracking is on an allowlist only access, and to be able to get allowed, we need a Google Ads Rep.

Someone here can help us solve this issue?

Hi Alex,

Thanks for your patience. I’ve received an update from my team.

You may need to reach out to your account manager if you have it since allowlist needs to be done from the Account manager’s side for the Wbraid / Gbraid feature. As you mentioned before, you do not have an account manager, then it is not possible do allowlist. With this, I would suggest keeping an eye on this blog as we will post any relevant updates when they become supported.

This is unacceptable.

So 10% of our clicks are coming with WBRAID parameter.

And we can't track them. Because we don't have an Account Manager. And we can't get one by request.

This is because Google doesn't have the proper systems in place.

I was expecting more from Google to be honest.

Hi Alex,

Thank you for the reply. Allow me to assist you here.

I understand the inconvenience you are encountering due to this issue. Unfortunately, allowlisting concerns are outside the scope of our API team, and we are unable to assist you further.
