According to this Help Center article, your currency is permanently set when you set up your account. This setting cannot be updated because it is used to determine how you are billed. If you wish to pay with a different currency, you must create a new account and set your desired currency at the time of account creation.
In relation to reports via the API, I'm afraid that there's no conversion to other currencies. You would need to post process those results to update the data for your desired currency.
