App install campaign - How to add Audience Signal

In the Google Ads manager, for an App campaign, there is an option to attach an audience signal. Do we have this feature in Google ads API?

In the App campaign document, it says "If the advertising_channel_sub_type is APP_CAMPAIGN, you cannot add ad group criteria."

So with respect to audience targeting, is it possible to target the following in an App campaign:

1. Age
2. Gender
3. User interest
4. User list
5. Keyword

Please provide the details.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Note that the audience segment targeting is supported for Display, Search, Video, Hotel, and Standard Shopping campaigns. The audience target is not supported for the APP campaign, this is an intended behavior from the API. I suggest you to refer to this Get started with audience management and About audience segments documentation for more information.
