Unable to create test account

Hi all,

I have followed the procedure for creating a adwords account manager test account, but the system is creating regular manager account. 

I have seen other people having exactly the same problem(https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Basics-for-New-Advertisers/unable-to-create-test-manager-account/m-p/473399). Can you please help us?

"I tried multiple time without success.

Here is my procedure (see attached images):

 

I created new Google Account (http://i59.tinypic.com/2uiemns.png http://i61.tinypic.com/nwyqns.png http://i57.tinypic.com/4tm1x2.png).
Then I click Create a test manager account (http://i58.tinypic.com/11txszo.png).
Then I filled up form for creating test account (http://i59.tinypic.com/2jes8wk.png)
Then I verified account by sms (http://i61.tinypic.com/24pihd0.png http://i58.tinypic.com/dg32gy.png).
Then I filled up once more some account settings (http://i60.tinypic.com/2hmpz4x.png)
And now I have created standard Adwords account (http://i62.tinypic.com/24et2zb.png ), not Test manager account(

 

And there is a problem. Where can I create TEST Account? What I do wrong?

Hi Umut,

Please follow these steps to create the test manager account and test AdWords account.

1)Test Manager account needs the Google account which is not linked to any AdWords accounts. You could create a new Google account at accounts.google.com and use this link to create test manager account. 

2)You need to provide the information asked to create test manager account and click the create test account button. Test manager account will get created and on the top right corner of the page you will see the red rectangle This is test account!

3)To create the test AdWords account, please click on +Account drop down and select the New AdWords account, Please provide the information needed and it will create the test AdWords account.

Hi Umesh,

I am doing exactly what you're explaining here. However, everytime it justs creates a normal manager account which results in me not able to test my app since it first requires the dev token to be approved...

To me it looks if there is something wrong with the creation system.

Another question: Do I need to be logged in as a normal manager account to be able to create a test manager account?

Hi Bas,

You are not required to be logged in to your production manager account when creating a test manager account. However, you are required to use an email address that is not associated with any AdWords account (test or production). Also, could you please confirm what country are currently located in?

I'm doing the exact same thing here - no "This is a test account" in the top right corner, and i cannot access the account via the API (QuotaCheckError.DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED)

Hi,

You may see a DEVELOPER_TOKEN_NOT_APPROVED error if your developer token has test access whereas you are trying to access a production AdWords account with your developer token. To be able to check further, could you please provide me with your AdWords production manager account ID as well as the AdWords test manager account ID? Please click on Reply privately to author when responding.
