Hi,

I have created accounts under the test MCC account and created few campaigns below them using the API. The accounts are only visible on the "Overview" and not under the "Accounts" section.
Is this the expected behavior with test manager accounts?

Also is there a way to increase the number of client accounts under the test MCC?

Regards,
Bhaskar.

Hi Bhaskar,

The status of the test accounts under the test manager account is canceled. You will need to enable to check box to display test accounts under your manager account. Please find the attached screenshot to display cancelled accounts. The maximum test accounts limit is 50. Please refer to this guide for more information. It is not possible to increase this limit. If your manager account has the maximum number of linked accounts, then you will need to un-link some of the accounts to add new accounts to this Test MCC. You can refer to this guide to un-link from AdWords UI. Also, you can use this guide to un-link via AdWords API. Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Milind, AdWords API Team

Hi Milind,

Thanks for your reply.

The accounts are being displayed after enabling cancelled accounts display.

Unlinking is not working. From management tab, when I tried it failed with the error "Every account must have either a user with administrative access or a manager account with administrative ownership".
This is when I tried unlinking one of the client accounts I have created under the Test MCC. Is there a way to delete/unlink so that I can create more accounts under the Test MCC.

Regards,
Bhaskar.

Hi Bhaskar,

Manager accounts can terminate a relationship with a managed account by unlinking it, as long as the managed accounts has at least one user with access to the account, or is linked to a manager account that has administrative ownership of it. You can unlink the account using AdWords API, please refer to this guide to check the code samples. For more information, please refer to this guide. Let me know if you have any further questions.
