Is time span retrieving search volumes controllable?

Hi API team,
How may I retrieve search volumes as a month for three years through Google ads API?
In the document, it says the time span to retrieve search volumes is only for a year.

Unfortunately, you can only get the monthly searches for up to the last 12 months.
