For a long time now, Google Adwords Keyword Planner via the API has combined similar keywords into groupings (abbreviations, misspellings, plurals, acronyms with the long version, stemming variants (er, ing, ed), words with a space and without a space (f-150, f 150, f150), words with punctuation)

The problem is that when you map and marry with clicks from Google Search Console, it is very difficult to do - - as the Google Search Console tool does not group keywords together.

The question is: will Google Search Console move to group together keywords like Google Adwords? If so, when?

Also, is there a way Google Adwords Keyword Planner API can provide details on which words it has grouped together? When you upload a set of keywords, it will return the results without letting you know how it has combined them.

Hi,

I'm from the AdWords API team and here to provide support. I'm afraid our team cannot comment further regarding the Google Search Console as it is already out of scope for our team. As for the Keywords Planner of the AdWords API, the product experts at the AdWords Community Forum would be able to assist you better as they are more equipped to answer product related questions.

Thanks and regards,
Peter
