Hello .

Is anyone successfully using Postman to get an authorization code and to then exchange it for an access token/refresh token ?

I cannot seem to get it to work ok.
I can get an authorization code by simply pasting into Chrome browser the string for my client id (web client) but then if i try and use Postman to exchange it for an access token/refresh token I get a redirect_uri_mismatch.

Is the auth code tied to the original redirect_uri that originally generated it and when then using postman I get an error trying to exchange it.

Similarly, If I try and authorize from Postman I cannot even get an auth code I get a 302 and then a 200 back but the response body has 26k lines of html code and not simply an authorization code i was expecting.

Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Google Ads API support team.

Could you please provide us with the complete API logs (request and response with request-id and request header) generated at your end using Postman so that we can investigate this issue further. Also, please confirm if you are getting the same issue while generating access token and refresh token using OAuth 2.0 Playground

If you are using a client library and haven't enabled the logging yet, I would request you to enable logging for the specific client library that you are using. You can refer to the guides Java.NetPHPPythonRuby or Perl to enable logging at your end. For REST interface requests, you can enable logging via the curl command by using the -i flag.

You can send the details via Reply privately to the author option, or direct private reply to this email.
