Performance Max campaigns - Get Asset Value

Is there a way to getAsset value using javascript in Pmax campaigns API?

For example, There us no function called get the exisitng asset values such as HEADLINE, DESCRIPTION etc...

1) I have created followings

asset.addAsset ("example, "HEADLINE");

asset.removeAsset ("example, "HEADLINE");

but no function like to get headline values like asset.getAsset ("example, "HEADLINE");

By reviewing your query, I understand that you want to know the way to getAsset value using javascript in Pmax campaigns API. The Google Ads API supports automated assets managed directly by Google Ads, with the scope of the API limited to pausing or removing individual assets and retrieving stats. You opt in or out of automated assets through the Google Ads web interface. For more information refer to this documentation. 

I suggest you refer to this article About asset reporting in Performance Max and Assets in a Performance Max Campaign where each asset group in a Performance Max campaign requires an initial minimum set of assets. These could be existing assets used in other campaigns or new assets specifically for an asset group in a Performance Max campaign.

Hi,

Thanks for reaching out! I only need assets created by the user and not the automatically created assets. For more context,

I need to get headline #4 or description #1 or image asset #1 value in a particular asset group (say: womenswear). Can I do that in the Google ads script? Or els is there a way to get a particular asset value?

You can do the Assets in a Performance Max Campaign using the Google Ads API. Kindly note that the requests to create an AssetGroup in a non-retail campaign or update the assets associated with any AssetGroup will fail unless all of the requirements are met. For more details, you may refer to the Required assets guide. Assets can have some Optional assets. Also, you may follow this Code example to create the necessary assets in a new request.
