Hi! I'm using Google Ads API v1 and I want to set Max. CPC values in a hotel id (Hotel Groups).

From the API I'm using AdGroupCriterion and I have the customer_id, ad_group_id and a list of hotel_id that I can set in a listing_group. But when I set the resource_name I see that I need a criterion_id and it's mandatory.

To get the criterion_id I can do a query and it's working fine.

But I have a couple of questions regarding this:
- Is it possible to mutate an AdGroupCriterion without getting the criterion_id previously?
- Is the criterion_id unique? In that case, would be the same criterion_id for that hotel_id? I would like to know when the the criterion_id for that customer, ad_group and/or hotel_id could change, in case it changes.

Thanks!

Hi Rafa,

Kindly refer to my response below.

- Is it possible to mutate an AdGroupCriterion without getting the criterion_id previously?
The criteria_id is a required field when indicating the resource_name in the AdGroupCriterion.
- Is the criterion_id unique? In that case, would be the same criterion_id for that hotel_id? I would like to know when the the criterion_id for that customer, ad_group and/or hotel_id could change, in case it changes.
The criterion_id is not individually unique. criterion_id is usually paired with ad_group_id or campaign_id to make it unique depending on the entity it is associated to.

Let me know if you have further concerns.

Dannison
