Delayed Customer Link Status

Hi,

When attempting to link a customer account to a manager account, we've notice a rather large delay in the status field when querying CustomerClientLink. After the customer has clicked Accept on the Google Ads Manager page, running the following query:

SELECT
customer_client_link.client_customer,
customer_client_link.manager_link_id,
customer_client_link.status
FROM
customer_client_link

returns customer_client_link.status = PENDING. If you try again sometime around 30-60 minutes later, it will finally switch to ACTIVE.

Is there a different query we should run to check whether the link has been accepted? Or some sort of caching that needs to be cleared?

By reviewing your concern, I understand that when attempting to link a customer account to a manager account, you have noticed a large delay in the status field when querying CustomerClientLink. Kindly note that the GAQL query which you are using is sufficient to check whether the link has been accepted or not. As you have accepted the invitation in the Google Ads UI, usually it takes some time to reflect on retrieving the status via the Google Ads API. Also, note that we cannot say the exact specific time duration in retrieving the linking status via the Google Ads API. I would recommend you to kindly refer to the "About data freshness" help center article for more information.
