Hi,

I have a question about the encoding of additional tracking parameter behind a leading "{lpurl}" entry in a TrackingUrlTemplate field.

Example TrakckingUrlTemplate I: "{lpurl}&keyword={keyword}&param=Google AdWords"
I think the resulting encoding should be: "{lpurl}%26keyword%3D{keyword}%26param%3DGoogle%20AdWords"

The first value "&keyword={keyword}" is encoded to "%26keyword%3D{keyword}", because the value track parameter "{keyword}" must not be encoded
The second value "&param=Google AdWords" is encoded to "%26param%3DGoogle%20AdWords".

Is that right or are there any other rules for the right encoding?

Thanks
Juergen

Hello,

In your above example &keyword should not be escaped. You could test the tracking template on the AdWords product side in "Ad URL options(Advanced)" section.
Please provide the AdGroupId and the keyword Id which will help us to take a deeper look.

Regards,
Umesh, AdWords API Team.
