Say I have two unrelated manager account trees. Can I use developer token registered in one manager account for performing actions in another manager account?

Re-posting the last inquiry (https://groups.google.com/g/adwords-api/c/WKY4H3bYHjs) from the forum as it wasn't routed to our support queue.

Hi Ivan,

Thank you for reaching us out. I am Sherwin from Google Ads API support team. I hope that you are doing well today.

Moving forward to your concern, it is possible if the accounts are under the same entity or organization. Also, note that the developer token is like a license key; it is tied to an MCC account for approval purposes, but once approved, you can use it to make calls against any Google Ads account. The MCC hierarchy for making API calls doesn't matter. For example, let's say you have the following detached account structure:

MCC ID 649-391-**** (devtoken) => ChildMCC1=> Account 1
MCC ID 948-640-**** => ChildMCC2=> Account 2

Where MCC ID 649-391-**** is owned by local division 1, and MCC ID 948-640-**** is owned by local division 2. You should be able to make API calls to Account 2 with the credentials of that account (or any of its parent MCCs) and devtoken from MCC ID 649-391-****.

Kind regards,
